About the Sacramento Air Force Association

CHAPTER HISTORY

The chapter was originally chartered by the National President of the Air Force Association on August 4, 1955. The Chapter was named in 1997 honor of Claude Farinha , a distinguished Air Force Civil Servant, for his outstanding contributions that were vital to successes of the Sacramento Air Logistics Center which at one time employed over 25,000 people.

The Chapter membership is open to all including civilians, students, retired and active duty military personnel. Our membership represents a cross section of our community including Air Force retirees as the Sacramento area is the second largest community of Air Force retirees in the country. You can become a member like our Community Partners, community leaders/concerned –patriotic citizens, CA Air National Guard personnel, local AFROTC staff and Cadets, and Civil Air Patrol members.
